How
often do you get to say you are safeguarded by fully clad,
M16 toting naval soldiers when playing a round of golf? Well,
thats exactly what you get when you play this 18 hole
links type course at the Royal Thai Navy Sports Development
Centre located right at one of Khao Lak's most beautiful bays.
Adding to the atmosphere, the boys in uniform serve light
refreshments and set you up for practice in the driving range
- quite a surreal experience in itself.
The course is beautifully landscaped with an abundance of
ancient jungle and great thought has been put into the placement
of holes.
What makes Rajjaprabha really stand out is the profusion
of water, care of the dam. The end result, artfully blended
into the natural surrounds offers lovely visual contrasts
of light and shadow. In a nutshell it has to be played to
be believed. |

The four par 3s of this course offer perfect distance variances.
Not a long hole, but, the 133-yard 8th is lots of fun to play. Depending
on the pin placement on this large and undulating green, your score could
be an ace or triple bogey! |
