One
of the best 18 hole courses in Thailand nestled amongst an
exotic forest with beautiful lake views, this unusual course
hosts an extraordinary encounter with nature for any golfer...
an excellent test of golf, one hole after another. The course
is surrounded by native forest and is situated on a secluded
hill, peacefully overlooking the surrounding village.
Each hole boats its own character and is surprisingly challenging,
however, when not revelling in the intricate, sinewy design,
one gets caught up drinking in the scenery. Pakasai Country
Club is a tight course which could cause problems for wayward
hitters and poses a test for the golfers strategic skills.
Obstacles of water and bunkers will test a golfers accuracy.
This par 72 course measures 6,573-yards from the Medal tees.

The 5 par 3s are challenging but there
is the chance for the straight driver of a hole
in one on the 2nd hole. At the hillier
part of the course, you will find yourself nestled
on a tee on the top of a hill facing a 181-yard
5th. This tee offers fantastic views over the
surrounding lake and directly down to the fully
visible, semi-plateau sloping green. Native
palms to the right, bunkers short right and
left of the green call for an accurate tee shot.

The
8 par 4s require straight shots as trees
play a decisive role, and any careless shots
will be punished! The 413-yard 1st contains
a slight dogleg and is much more testing than
it appears from the card. If you start with
par, you can be well satisfied. The 321-yard
7th is pleasant but well guarded.

The
5 par 5s are an interesting bunch with
the 539-yard 13th providing a challenge for
length and straight hitting. A good finishing
hole is the 515-yard 18th with out of
bounds all the way down the left side.
The drive must be accurate to keep out of strife
on the left and out of the native tree shrouded
hill to the right, which extends the whole length
of the hole, so the second shot cannot be wayward
either.
